This week, we’ve got a 13-fight card in Boise, Idaho. It is headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, that is making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller contests for this card since it’s only a Fight Night card with lesser known name, but there is still well over $100k to be won. I will be pursuing my fair share of that money and I trust you guys will be too. Here are a few plays I like this weekend and my fade of the week.
Money Game play of the week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I think Volkanovski is the”safest” drama on this card along with also his -300 gaming lineup would concur with me. That’s where I’ll be starting my lineup this week and I will figure out the rest from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points during his first four UFC fights so he’s got a whole lot of upside as well. He could possible score over two winners with this card combined. I really do think he’s in play for GPPs as well for this reason, but he will probably be the most peculiar owned fighter on the card and we do not care about ownership as much in cash games. I’d suggest paying for the costly price tag in your money games and then look for at least 3 others wins you are confident in.
GPP play of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS should function as way better striker in this struggle and I think this is where the battle will occur. He can get KO’d at the opening seconds of the fight and score 0 points, but that is what makes him a GPP drama in lieu of a cash game play. With these two Heavyweights, we need to likely find a KO inside the 25-minues and I think the former champion, JDS, are the one to get it. He’s got great takedown defense so he should be able to keep this fight on the feet where he will have a 4-inch reach benefit to use.
Underdog drama of the week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko will be my underdog play of the week. The chances indicate that the fight ought to be rather close and there’s a great chance that he utilizes his wrestling to gain the advantage. In 5 fights that he has not seen a decision yet, and there is a chance it remains that way if he gets Brown to the floor. Niko has some slick entrances in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the toes, Brown likely has the advantage with his achieve, but Price does have some sneaky power also, which can not be overlooked. Overall, I enjoy this as a GPP play.
Fade of the week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he is only $100 less expensive than Volkanovski. In my opinion, Perez will require a end to have a shot at paying off that expensive salary and that I do not wish to invest in that, personally. He has never landed greater than one takedown in a fight and Wineland has exceptional takedown defense, so we should see this fight occur on the toes. I think Perez should be the person to receive his hands raised in the conclusion but I think it’s going to be via decision. If that’s true then he could score ~60 points in a win, and also at $9.1k that is not going to win anyone a tournament. I will be full fading Perez this week and hoping he doesn’t get the finish and he is my official evaporate of this week.
